The Conscientious Caregiver Program helps individuals prepare to meet the needs of northeast Ohio’s growing aging and disabled populations. Classroom activities prepare each participant for the work experience, as well as for securing a position as a caregiver.
This training program is an extension of the mission of EACH. Trained caregivers help ensure that those in need of service have trained, skilled support. The program curriculum includes caregiver work tutorials, computer research, financial literacy, and life skills. The work experience is an actual internship provided through local caregiving providers, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.
Upon completion of the program, participants are prepared to secure employment as health aid/caregivers and have several opportunities to meet with employers before exiting the program. Most employers hire caregivers positions based on work experience. By successful completing this program, the participant will have obtained a meaningful work experience, which will increase their chances of securing employment as a caregiver.
